Overview
This Statement of Work outlines the scope of services provided by Geocommerce for packaging design. The objective is to create a visually appealing and functional packaging solution that aligns with your brand identity, resonates with your target audience, and enhances the unboxing experience.
Scope of Work
The following components will be included in this packaging design project:
1. Brand Research and Strategy
- Understanding your brand’s identity, values, and target audience.
- Competitor analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.
- Defining packaging objectives (e.g., shelf impact, unboxing experience).
2. Packaging Concept Development
- Creation of 3 initial design concepts for review, based on your brand guidelines.
- Exploration of color palettes, typography, imagery, and structural elements.
- Focus on sustainability (if applicable) to align with eco-conscious branding.
3. Packaging Artwork Design
- Finalization of selected packaging concept.
- Creation of detailed artwork for various packaging types, including:
- Primary Packaging: Product boxes, pouches, or containers.
- Secondary Packaging: Outer boxes, sleeves, or wrappers.
- Inserts: Cards, labels, and tags.
4. Die-Line and Production Files
- Preparation of industry-standard die-line templates for production.
- Delivery of high-resolution files in required formats (AI, PDF, EPS).
- Coordination with your print vendors to ensure proper file compatibility.
5. Mockups and Prototyping
- Creation of 3D digital mockups for visualization.
- Option for physical prototypes (costs for prototyping will be discussed separately).
6. Unboxing Experience Enhancement
- Design of creative inserts, thank-you cards, and branded tape or stickers.
- Guidance on enhancing the tactile and visual elements for customer delight.
7. Revisions and Feedback
- Up to 3 rounds of revisions for the selected concept.
- Additional revisions will be billed at an agreed hourly rate.
Deliverables
Upon project completion, the client will receive the following deliverables:
- Packaging Design Concepts: PDF or digital presentation.
- Final Artwork Files: High-resolution files ready for production (AI, EPS, PDF).
- Die-Line Templates: Print-ready die-lines for each packaging type.
- 3D Mockups: Realistic digital renderings for internal review or marketing purposes.
- Production Assistance: Guidance to ensure smooth production with vendors.
Timeline
The project timeline will follow these estimated milestones:
- Brand Research and Strategy: 1 week
- Concept Development: 2 weeks
- Design Finalization and Artwork Creation: 2-3 weeks
- Revisions and Feedback: 1-2 weeks
- Production File Delivery: 1 week
Total Estimated Timeframe: 6-8 weeks, depending on client feedback cycles.
Pricing
The total cost for the Packaging Design Services is [Insert Pricing], which includes the deliverables and up to 3 revision rounds. Additional revisions, physical prototypes, or extended services will be charged separately. Payment terms are as follows:
- 50% upfront deposit to initiate the project.
- 50% upon project completion and file delivery.
Assumptions
- The client will provide all necessary inputs, including brand assets (logos, guidelines, etc.), product specifications, and packaging dimensions.
- Feedback and approvals will be provided in a timely manner.
- Print or manufacturing costs are not included in this scope.
